Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and W/L Ledger ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using W/L Ledger, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who can use it

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you. Only an adult can buy a paid plan.
• Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at support@wlledger.com if you think someone else got in.

2. What W/L Ledger is (and isn't)

• W/L Ledger is a record-keeping and information tool. It estimates fees, profit and taxes from what you enter and from published platform fee rates.
• It isn't financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Fee rates and tax rules change, and estimates can be wrong. Check important numbers yourself, and talk to a tax professional about your taxes.
• AI features (chat, coach tips, screenshot reading, card scans and others) can make mistakes. Nothing the AI reads or suggests is saved until you review and confirm it.
• We may change, add or remove features over time.

3. Your content

• You own the data and files you put in W/L Ledger. You let us store, process and display them only to run the app for you (including sending them to our service providers, as the Privacy Policy explains).
• You're responsible for having the right to add what you add, including information about buyers and contacts. Don't add home addresses, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, passwords, or other sensitive personal information.
• You can download or delete your data at any time in Settings → Data & privacy.
• Share links you create are public to anyone who has the link, until you turn them off.

4. Our name and other platforms

W/L Ledger™, the W/L logo, and the app's design, text and software are owned by W/L Ledger and protected by trademark and copyright law. You can't copy them or use them to suggest you're us or that we endorse you; sharing your own share cards and screenshots of your own numbers is fine.

W/L Ledger isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Whatnot, eBay, 130point or any other platform, and their names belong to their owners. W/L Ledger never logs in to, scrapes or automates those platforms. You bring your own exports and screenshots, and you're responsible for following each platform's rules.

5. Fair use

Don't use W/L Ledger to break the law; harass anyone; upload malware; try to get into other people's accounts or data; overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service; or resell it. AI features have monthly limits, and "unlimited" plans have a fair-use limit so one account can't overload the service.

6. Plans, billing and cancelling

• Free plan: the core ledger, with monthly and weekly allowances for AI features and card scans. Free forever; no payment details needed. Some features (such as the Tax Center and AI coach) are only on Pro.
• Pro plan: $9.99 a month, or $79 a year (about 34% less than paying monthly). Prices are in U.S. dollars, plus any sales tax that applies.
• Lifetime plan: one payment of $249 for Pro on your account for as long as W/L Ledger is offered. It never renews and there's nothing to cancel. Fair-use limits still apply. If you buy Lifetime while on a monthly or yearly plan or a trial, that subscription ends when the payment goes through and you aren't charged for it again. Lifetime is for one account and can't be transferred.
• 7-day free trial: new Pro subscribers get one free trial of 7 days. You add a card when you start it, and you're not charged during the trial. If you don't cancel before it ends, your plan starts and your card is charged on the day the trial ends; that day becomes your renewal day. Cancel any time during the trial and you're never charged. One trial per person.
• Automatic renewal: you pay at the start of each billing period. Monthly plans renew on the same day each month as the day you subscribed (or the last day of the month, if that day doesn't exist). Yearly plans renew on the same date each year. Payments are handled by Stripe.
• Cancel any time in the app, in one tap (Settings → Plan & billing). When you cancel, you won't be charged again, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Then your account moves to the free plan; your data stays.
• Refunds: payments aren't refunded for partly used periods, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong with a charge, email support@wlledger.com.
• Discount codes: a code (such as a founder deal) works only for what it says, while it lasts. Limited codes end once their spots are used up. They can't be combined, transferred or exchanged for cash.
• Price changes: we'll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Data & privacy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk; when we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to download your data.

8. Disclaimers

W/L Ledger is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or accurate, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. Keep your own records of anything important.

9. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, W/L Ledger isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, sales, data or tax outcomes, that come from using (or not being able to use) the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

10. Disputes

If you have a problem, email support@wlledger.com first and we'll try to sort it out. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey and of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using W/L Ledger after that, the new terms apply. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
